Fashion Trends For 2012: Be A Trend Setter
Being comfortable should always be the first antecedence.Its not always about following a fashion trend,sometimes the clothes which are prevailing might allure you and fit you the best.Some people’s wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic.
There’s the 1970s revival and people are adapting the retro style with vintage accessories.
My 2012 fashion trend:
1) Boyfriend blazers: They go well with dresses to shorts and are a perfect pick for the coming weather and the trend as well.Blazers are always comfortable when clubbed with a plain tee.One cannot go over dressed while on work or college plain colors are always alluring.You can wear the jacket open, roll and push up the sleeves or club it with a belt.
2) Dresses:Winter is a crucial period for building your wardrobe and evolving your personal style.Seasons may change,but that does not mean we should completely throw away the old sexy clothes and blindly follow the trend.Lately there’s a trend of grabbing the hottest dress for the party.
Peter pan collars, pleats,and color blocks would never go out of style.

3) Shorts: No one stops wearing shorts if its out of the trend, its a wardrobe staple.Be it a party or a casual shopping day you can always wear dainty shorts.Shorts with appealing details and a chick fabric can be worn at the parties. They are usually worn over the pelvic,embellishing the waist making it easy to carry.
Denim,cotton and silk shorts always make a steal.
4) Shoes: Shoes play an important role in a women’s overall personality. You cannot wear a simple flip flops while you are nicely dresses for a party.Classic pumps with neutral colors can always be worn in office,interviews etc,they are available in different fabrics.
When it comes to heels there’s always a inevitable payoff between style and comfort. I would rather choose comfort.Pumps go well with a party dress but pairing boots with those dresses makes us overdressed.Its basically not for the Indian weather and the surrounding.Glitter shoes again make a nice pick while you go for a party.
f5) Bags: I have a healthy respect for those who do minimal while selecting a good bag.Always check for the quantity, volume, shape, and arrangement of compartment.Overall bag weight is also very important.Messenger,tote,sling,satchels,Gladstone bags are in the trend offering vivid styles and colors.Even if you dont follow the trend and set your own color combination of your bags,you will still look sassy and dainty.
6) Accessories : Everybody wants to accessorise better, but few know how to go about it.They add charm to your outfit and you can have the chick look even with the simplest clothes.We have seen alot facebook pages,online websites,etc selling vintage accessories lately.Never wear worn-out accessories,vintage does not mean worn-out stuff.My pick would be a nice collection of vintage accessories to go with your casuals,party wear etc.

I just read the article! I second most of the trends you quoted! awesome observation on that part.! Especially with the boyfriend coats (I bought a mustard one from veromoda last week, phoenix, 70 percent off, utter bliss :p)
I believe this year the trend is going more UK than the US. American brands are all fizzling out. Classy and ladylike is in, flipfloppy with punk emo americana in the garbage, more for wedges and shimmer footwear, especially madden and miu miu. I think even hats and beanies are in (maybe not in Ind, certainly abroad). Bright nail paint colors, suede/leather bags, and the trends mentioned in your article will stay. So chloe, mango, zara, riverisland, forever 21 etc seem to sell off. Well written Priyanka <3
