Virat Kohli is perfoming that Sachin Tendulkar if we compare the statistics of Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar in last 82 Matches in ODI

Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar

Ask me this question and I shall just say a big “NO”. I don’t een think that it is correct to compare the brilliance, hardwork and dignity of a icon like Sachin Tendulkar with anyone. No doubt that Virat Kohli has with his batting and playing style proved this game over and over again but I still feel that comparing Virat Kohli with Sachin Tendulkar (the name that changed Indian sports) is just not justified.

Virat Kohli breathtaking unbeaten 133 of 86 balls against Sri Lanka in their last match of the CB series has left everyone spell bounded. He knows to to master and win the game with the stroke of his bat. But this great performance also started the comparison spree again. I would say, on no grounds can we compare the two but Virat Kohli is certainly on to take the legacy of Sachi Tendulkar forward. I don’t know how correct or apt will it be to say if “Virat Kohli wil be the next Sachin Tendulkar” but Virat Kohli is certainly on for some serious cricket.

Being compared to a legent like Sachin Tendulkar itself is both a big compliment and a big responsibility of Virat Kohli. It is like being compared to years of perfection. Though Virat Kohli has over and over again proved his mentle with the willow but still I feel that he still has years to go to come at part with the “God of cricket”. Sachin has delivered many such innings and won our hearts from his illustrious career and game.Sachin Tendulkar made his way through the hearts of the cricket fans with his fabulous entry as a test cricketer. Virat Kohli is yet to show his magic in Test cricket.
Virat Kohli has so far played 82 ODIs. Here is a both a representation of their careers at the same point of time.

Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar’s Comparison Statistics:

Player                        Matches Innings   Runs   Average 50′s 100′s Strike Rate

Virat Kohli:               82             79          3233    47.54      20        9         84.88

Sachin Tendulkar:  82             79          2236    32.41      17         1          78.48

The statistics speak a different story and show us that Virat Kohli outbeats the star but these cannot oversee all factors that went ahead. Taking no points away from Virat Kohli and his fabulous cricket, Sachin Tendulkar has faced Craig McDermott, Glen McGrath, Curtly Ambrose, Courtney Walsh, Alan Donald, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Shane Warne and many more pillars of cricket. He has lived upto all expectation in the toughest of times and during the biggest pf pressures. He has performed greatly while carrying the entire team on his shoulder. Virat, however has entered in the time of glory. With a fabulous team and times of already being the best team of the world, Virat has played his willow well getting us glory.

According to me comparing these two great players with different times and circumstances will totally be unfair to them, their hardwork and their game. Let us respect both Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli for the brilliant game ther showed us.
