Rockstar – Experience the Power Of Love and Music [Movie Review]
Anger, Anguish, Arrogance those three words strikes me when i saw Jordan Aka JJ Aka Janadrdhan Jhakkad. A story of a man from being a jat guy to a rage Jordan was seemed to be interesting tale but far more interesting was pain which he was searching to become a musician. Two things ‘Love” and ‘Pain’ which goes hand in hand made this 70 mm experience a wonderful watch. The pain of losing the thing, the fire to get away, the irritation of people who not understand was clearly visible on the face of the ‘Rock star’.A guy chased its dreams but when it reached to its peak was clearly chased away by the most desirable emotions of the world ‘Love’. The perfect example of how the sweetest emotion can turn volatile in the due course if the person desiring the sweetness is not able to enjoy its essence.
The Story is of a middle class chap studying in Delhi university and dreaming of not going to its dad’s business rather than be a poster on the walls of every youth growing in India. A die hard follower of Jim Morrison wants to have it own fan following who remember him to be a magician, a magician of his voice. In the journey from nobody to somebody he met a beautiful person, which transform Janaradhan Jhakkad to JJ to Jordan, be his friend but the twist comes when the line is crossed, the emotion called love enters the scene. The dream, ambition, passion of reaching at top gets replaced by agony, pain, fire of missing the love from the life when he realize the love and see the absence from his life. The Irritation, the pain is clearly visible on the face of our protagonist who misses the love, people around him. The pain to sit at top and still be alone even though always gathered by thousand of people and at the end the pain of loosing its love.
The Movie is a sum of some of the best written scenes and visual experience. The scene where he is talking to his manager despite thousand of crowd yelling and calling his name and he is unmoved by all this and try to explain his loneliness is outstanding. The last scene in I.C.U when he realize him being some kind of responsible for heer’s health stands apart. The facial expression while just walking past the door and straight into crowd is just amazing.
Ranbir is the real rockstar in the movie, awesome performance. The growth is clearly visible from being a towel dancer in Sanwariya to a heart broken arrogant singer in Rockstar. It can be regarded as one of the best work till date by him and will always be regarded as one of the high point in its career. The captain of the ship Imtiaz ali rocks the show once again. All of its four movies have been a love story with a defining movement. A New age director with new take in romance…Hats off! The magical musician Mr. Rahman no words for you sir…U have done it again. New find Nargis Fakri has a screen presence as a debutante posted a good performance but still lacks the facial expression. The few scenes of real rockstar Late. Mr Shammi Kapoor is pleasure to watch.
Rockstar can be clearly remembered for loud rock music with silent love story indulging in agony, pain and fire leaving your soul in a phase of emptiness. A must watch !!
