When A Lawyer Falls In Love [Book Review]

This book by Author Amrita Suresh has been getting awesome reviews by everyone and suddenly one day It was a part of “Authors in talks”. I wanted to read it from long and here a copy of it landed in my hand. From the title, it seems like a Love story of a lawyer but it starts with a beautiful representation of college life.
It was great to read the book as I could feel and recollect the memories. Friends, college, studies, all the memories came live. There are four stories going on in the novel and all talk of each other as well. One story is related to the other and so on. We for sure know each and every character very well. It seems of our own college and it remembers of someone whom we have met during our college life. Before I start writing more I say read the book, read it. It’s amazing, you won’t regret my word and I am sure you will love the book thoroughly.
The story is about finding love amongst everything. The story starts in the backdrop of college, the third year; the protagonists are third year law students. It is about their professional and personal journey of life, less professional and more personal and sprinkled with salt and sugar all over. There are six friends in the story. The story is about Ankur, Sonali, Souvik, Jaishree, Vyas and Pavan who are a close group of friends.
Ankur is that chubby guy in the group who has red baby like cheeks. He was always loved by everyone and his friends loved to pull his cheeks every time. Doesn’t that sound realistic? We always have a guy who we call cute and pull his cheeks like that. He is always in a dilemma over love. Then there is Sonali, who is Ankur’s best friend and his lady love. She is one strong girl who though bosses her academics pretty well but is indecisive over her life and the people in it. Then comes Souvik, a guy who comes from close and conservative family but falls in love totally opposite to the family traditions. Souvik is someone who speaks less and acts more. He someone who speaks from his eyes and does the talking. He is one of those typical guys who we see in the movies.
Jaishree is another color in Amrita Suresh’s story. This girl is Souvik’s love interest. Vyas, who is an Aquarian and justifies being so totally. He is inquisitive and what more can justify that. This moody character also faces dilemma like his friends do. Pavan Nair, the sixth and according to me funnier of the lot is also someone you can relate to.
The main protagonists are Ankur and Sonali and Souvik and Jaishree. Ankur and Sonali are the typical Bollywood type best friends where one of them are bound to fall for the other. Ankur falls for Sonali and is deep in love. Sonali however, overlooks that and get engaged to Rohit, a not very important but a spoilt character. The other pair Jaishree and Souvik are much in love and a must watch is how there chemistry unfolds. This story has all, friends, love, college, confusions, problems and is a great read.
I am sure you will love it . You Can Buy The
